We’re still working on the new stuff. While you wait, check out this video, which includes two songs from our last album.
We’ve spent the last couple of months mostly hibernating in a windowless room, writing new songs. We’re heading back into the studio early in 2014 and we’re super excited about the new material. Forever impatient, we’re going to play one last show this year so we can put a few of the new songs through a trial run. Come out and see us at the Milk Bar in San Francisco on December 12. We’ll be joined by Split Screens, Heavy Color, and Jared Padovani.
One of the best things about being on Deep Elm Records is that we have a link to The Appleseed Cast. Here we are with Chris Crisci at last week’s show.
It’s Spring sale time! For just a few days, we’re offering both of our CD’s for only $10. That’s two for the price of one, more or less. Downloaded music is cool and all, but for those who prefer to own the real thing, here’s your chance.

Check out a new video from our show at the Elbo Room last month. Thanks to Squire Films and Bourgeois Productions Presents for their great work!
See you soon!
Thanks to everyone that helped make 2012 so great for us. Lost Causes has popped up on a couple of Best of 2012 lists:
Update January 12: and Team Reasonable.
It’s an honor – and a little unsettling – to be listed amongst so many great artists.
We have tons of shows and a bunch of new music to unleash on 2013. Can’t wait to share it with you!
Finally – we have t-shirts for sale in our web store. Big thanks to Lucija Kordic for the awesome design.
We Were Always Loyal to Lost Causes is presently celebrating its one month birthday. One of the best parts of the last several weeks has been reading all the reviews that have been popping up in internet land. We’re truly humbled by all the positive feedback. And we’re still waiting for the first real stinker (go ahead, we can take it!). A few snippets are below. Click hear to see the gory details.
Absolute Punk: “We Were Always Loyal To Lost Causes is as a close to a perfect post-rock album as you can get.”
The Big Takeover: “music this intricate and delicate is not made in a hurry …an impressive record of powerful beauty”
Dagger: “The Dandelion War is in no hurry to get where it’s going; taking time to put forth layers of beautiful guitar and distant synthesizers before Larry Fernandez’s swooping vocals take us on any of several journeys.”
7BitArcade: “To say that this album is moving is an understatement. Prepare to be soothed, to be crushed, to be inspired.”
We’ve got a handful of shows coming up in the next month or so, and we’ve got some others in the works that will be announced soon. Check here for a full listing.
First up, is Friday, September 28 at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco.
